Outlook XP E-mail notification
My Outlook has quit doing this. Normally if you leave it open and have it check for e-mail every 5 minutes or so once you get an e-mail it makes a little sound and pops up a little envelope looking thing in your taskbar until you read the mail. Well for some reason mine has quit doing that, it still makes noise, but lots of times I'm not around my computer. So if I have new mail I dont' know it unless I physically check it. I'd rather it let me know than me having to find out myself. If I wanted to find out myself I'd log in to minermail.umr.edu . I did sift through the options and did check somethign to the effect of "notify me when new mail arrives" but that just puts another popup on my screen. I just want it back the way it was. Its most likely in the registry somewhere since I've sifted through the options and not found anything.

So it still makes the sound but the icon has disappeared from the taskbar?
Sounds like Systray annoyance. XP seems to have a tendency to forget displaying things
