Good luck, Dell laptops incorporate a special seperate security chip to prevent people from bypassing bios set up passowrd. the chip is not affected by the cmos being reset or cmos clearing programs. your best bet is to contact dell.

got mine cracked

Hello Elvis,
To get yours cracked you have to search the forum for the dell change user address, and change the user info. Then go to Dell live chat and ask them for the default passwords for ur Laptop. They will check with the password center and they will give you the codes for the cmos and the HDD.

GOOD LUCK

if you ever lose your BIOS or CMOS passwords just open the case up...locate the battery on the motherboard. then pop the battery off for ohh about 20 seconds and remember to take the battery out of the lap top or unplug your computer. this will clear bios and cmos.

The password info is not stored in a normal cmos as it is with most desktop pc`s, so taking out the battery will do nothing.

The password info is stored on an eeprom chip, that doesn`t require a battery to keep the info.

Take a look at this website HERE for more info.
