no, i got it from iso hunt and bugs the hell outa me that you follow the link for the password but it doesnt give it to you.

Might be in an NFO inside the archive. Overall though, it's probably not the stuff for Techspot. Beyond that, I don't know.

Personally I think downloading things like that, whatever the xource, is a little bit risky though. There are three good reasons to password protect archives...

1, to make sure that only your intended audience can open them
2, to make sure your kids can't open them
3, to make sure that AntiVirus scans can't scan what's inside them.

I know that AVG free can scan inside archives.

You need to set your antivirus programme to scan inside archives, then there shouldn`t be a problem.

The antivirus programme will just say "virus found embedded object"

Obviously the antivirus programme can`t remove a virus from within a zip file.

You would need to delete the zip file completely.

My AV is always set to scan within archives, as is my ad-aware

It's password protected archives that AV's can't scan inside of, such as the one I made just for the purpose a moment ago (see image in attatchment)...

...AVG has clearly been set to scan within archives, but because the archive is password protected, AVG has only scanned the archive, but has not scanned it's contents because it has no access to them without the password. If AVG were able to scan inside it, it would report the scanning of 6 or 7 files.

As an aside, I don't know if many people have noticed them, but I have an email account with yahoo that recieves in the region of 1000-2000 or more Spam emails every few days - I don't know. It's a lot of them however many. There are about 4,500 in the bulk folder at the moment. I've recieved a large number telling me that "my password has been changed" with zip attachments, and instructions to use the password given in the email to open the zip. They are quite obviously virus laden emails, and they are send in that way for this precise reason.

The website link apparently does not exist anymore. I ran a password cracker and got the password. Unzip with whatever utility you have and use the following for the password:

toolbar

All lower-case.
