Expand Virt Partition on MAC
I need to know how to enlarge a virtual partition running windows on a mac. I don't have the machine so I can't give specs. I have much experience with pc's as far as partitioning and running multiple operating systems such as linux and FreeBSD so you can be technical with your response. Thanks in advance. It's a PowerBook G4 running widows 2000 on what was explained to me as being a virtual partition.

Virtual machine? What kind? It could be just a matter of enlarging the file underneath the "disk" and the using some PC partitioning utility inside the VM to resize the partition.

As far as I know, VirtualPC lets you enlarge the virtual partitions - if you haven't set them to be some specific size only.

Enlarging the virtual partition size is one thing, but can Win2k resize the filesystem afterwards?

Win2k can resize the partition if the disk is dynamic.
