Hello tell me if these are acceptable overclocking temps!!!!
Hi,
I have inno3d geforce 6600 (non-gt) 128 mb. Its core n mem clocks are 300 n 500 respectively. I,ve overclocked it to 385 core n 615 mem and at load my temperature reaches 85-87 C and idle temp is 60-62 C. I m using the stock fan n i also like to mention that i used the Ati Tool to scan for artifacts and this is the max speeds at which it ran without giving artifacts. also i ran 3d mard 05 n before OC the score was 1898 n after OC the score was 2377. Now, i want to know if this is significant increase in scores or not. the second thing i want to know is if the temp is acceptable, i ve heard that gpus can take n sustain more heat then cpus, so is that true. Thanks |

Even for a gpu. Those temps are a little on the high side.
However, provided your system is running stable, just invest is some more cooling for your card. Something along these lines, should reduce those temps. http://uk.shopping.com/xPO-Antec_Ant..._Day~CLT-HSNLF Regards Howard

The extra points are quite significant.
However, like howard said, better cooling is in order. It'll be worth it. |
