Gigabyte mobo dont know if its bad or not

i have a gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI mobo and a geforce 6800 XT gpu, im getting the nv4_disp error and i was wondering if it could be the mobo causing the problem. Im pretty sure i have the updated drivers. Any suggestions.
