For the last few weeks have been plagued by BSOD with two stop messages.
First, 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x30303030, 0xA870451C, 0x00000000 )
and 0x00000024 (0x001902FE, 0xA850F138, 0xA850EE34, 0x30303030 )
The third string in the brackets varies.

No problems in Safe Mode. Have replaced memory to no effect. Tried deleting and recreating Pagefile. All drivers updated to latest versions.

Using eXtendia Antivirus and Outpost Pro firewall 2.6 (upgrade to 3.0 disastrous). Read that Outpost can cause BSOD so removed it - problem seems less frequent but has not gone away.

Any ideas, please? Minidump attached. I'm not a techie!

All your minidumps crash at avkfsavp.sys. I can`t find any reliable info for this driver. do you recognise it?

What antivirus programme do you use?

Many thanks for the response. This file relates to Kaspersky (eXtendia) Antivirus so at least I know now what's causing it, if not why.

For the uninitiated, how do you read the minidumps? I have only managed to get code.

Have just received an extraordinary reply from Boomerang Software who market the Kaspersky/eXtendia antivirus package, which explains the problem but does not say much for their customer service. I live in the U.K. but I guess the lawyers will be sharpening their pencils in the U.S.
