Cool n Quiet?

hey i would be thankful if some experts could help me out on this matter.
i have an asus k8s-mx mobo, 516 ddr ram, 2.0ghz sempron processor (2600+) and i recently read my mobo manual and it said i have cool n quiet..however when i install the cool n quiet software my pc reboots and back to normal! ..... however i checked in my bios settings and saw cool n quiet feature was enabled! but wut i'm wondering is why they gave me the software,......that would be redundant wouldn't it.....so is my pc realy using cool and quiet now? or ?..........do i have to troubleshoot the software...?

As far as I`m aware. If cool `n` quiet is enabled in your bios, it will work.

The software is only for monitoring cool `n` quiet.

See HERE for further info.

Download the latest AMD processor driver from AMD's website. Then under power management, set the scheme to minimal power management.

PanicX is correct.

Also some of the early versions of cool n quiet would cause computers to crash frequently. If that happens to you just leave it disabled.
