I have a Canon Digital IXUS 55 camera that I am trying to connect to my pc.Have installed The Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk that came with it.Am connecting via a usb cable.Have put the camera in playback mode.When the camera is turned on the pc screen freezes and also the mouse pointer.This occures as soon as the camera is turned on.I have XP HOME .I have connected it to another computer and have no problems.Have also connected the usb cable to a spare usb port .

Has anyone any ideas for fixing the problem.

Does your computer freeze if you connect a different USB device in that port, if it does it might be a dodgy USB port

Have connected the usb cable to another port and the screen still freezes
