Hey fellow people
I have already posted here about my new ASUS powering down

Now that same asus borad with XP fresh installation gives me another event;
I am NOT able to access internet thus in Device manager console My ethernet adapter is not installed. It is on board adapter of ASUS A7V600 board; I have downloaded the LAN onbord drivers; it did not work.
It says that the device has an error If I select from the list the 3COM GIGABIT Lom 3C940.
then there is a non digital driver that asks EL2K_xp.sys file from a CD
I have tried to do search of EL2K_xp and found out it is a winxp driver.
please help if any idea
I can not go online without the adapter and update the vindows. I do not have a CD of the Board
any idea would be greatly appreciated
