Windows Media Player 10: Error ID = 0xC00D11CD
While trying to open an *.mpg I got this "Unknown error":
Error ID = 0xC00D11CD, Condition ID = 0x00000000 Other files do open, so does this have to do something with file? It did open earlier |

You're probably missing a codec. Download the AVIcode from http://avicodec.duby.info/
and analyze the file; since file's extension is .mpg it looks to me like MPEG-1 type of a file ; refer to the following site for all your video/encoding/decoding/editing/recording questions/tutorials/manuals/information/tools etc - http://www.videohelp.com |

I also had similar problem which resolved after downloading and installing the K-Lite codec from:
