T THOR94112 Apr 10, 2006 #1 WHEN I power up the pc all it does is beep; it will not stop until i power down. any answer to this annoyance. and nothing comes on the monitor but i could see lights on the dvd and floppy drive; fans running too.

H howard_hopkinso Posts: 21,238 +17 Apr 10, 2006 #4 Continuous beeping is a possible sign of faulty, or incorrectly seated ram. Take out your ram stick`s and clean the contacts with an eraser. Blow away the remnants and replace. Does this make any difference? Maybe try another ram stick, or try putting the ram in a different dim slot. Regards Howard
