Compatibility among motherboard RAID controllers

If I have two Maxtor SATA drives running under RAID 0 on an Abit mother board, will they work properly running RAID 0 on an MSI motherboard? (Clarification: without reformatting, etc.)

Yeah... I kinda thought that might be the case, but I was open to persuasion that it would work. (grin) So basically, I change motherboards and I need to completely scrub the drives, recreate the array (maybe leave the array out and just go with the straight SATA), format the drives or array as the case maybe and reinstall everything. Any betting on the odds that a "repair install" will work? Think I might just stick with this motherboard for awhile!
