I have noticed this in the past on other scanners, but now I am in a situation where I would like to solve it if possible.
When scanning, the resulting image has a yellow area on the image. It is not necessarily uniform, but seems to get worse as you use the machine more. This yellow area even shows up on greyscale scans. I use photoshop to remove the color from greyscale images, but color scans are a bigger problem.
In the past I have just gotten a new scanner, but this one is govt. property and so I'd like to know if there is a cure for this problem, or is it just how they show that they are growing old.
Any comments would be appreciated.
