I am having a problem with the RTL8139 family PCI fast Ethernet NIC working with my Linksys wireless WRT54GX2 Router. It works with my westall 2200 modem directly and also my old dlink wireless router so I know it works.
But when I plug it into the linksys router the Ethernet port lights up for 2 seconds then goes off & the light on the back of the PC port goes out as well. The wireless linksys router works with my wireless laptop and the NIC works with the modem directly.
I clicked the driver update & it says it is updated.
Any known problems with this situation or a solution?
