Random restarts...Can minidump help?...Someone please help!!

Hi,

I have recently started to encounter a problem with my PC in that it keeps restarting itself when I play Age of Mythology. I'll be playing the game and all of a sudden, the PC will just reboot itself, and an error message appears after restart saying 'recovered from a serious system error.'

I changed settings so that when the PC tries to reboot, it can't and instead shows a BSOD, and the error message displayed on this BSOD is:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0x0000000A (0xFBEDB000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804F7866)

I've been reading lots of different posts but am not really sure as yet what the problem could be, although it has been suggested that I purchase a power supply with a higher output which I probably will do (I currently have 200W, and according to ExtremePSUCal I need approx. 186W) - see thread at address:
http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthrea...772#post287772

I wonder if anyone can help?

The PC is a Hewlett Packard Pavilion 781.uk PC

Intel Pentium 4 2Ghz,
256Mb PC2100 RAM,
ATI Radeon 7500 All-in-wonder Graphics Card,
Onboard Sound

The minidump files created since this problem has occurred are (or should be!) attached. If someone can read them and make sense of them it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

1 minidump is corrupt and unreadable.

1 minidump crashes with memory corruption.

You should check your ram using the Memtest programme. You can get it HERE.

I have looked at your other thread and I agree with Kirock, that your psu is suspect.

A faulty or underpowered psu could also be responsible for your crashes.

Regards Howard
