Faulty Internet connection

Am i in the right forum? just wondering if anyone can help. My internet connection is faulty. Whenever I connect, it disconnects minutes later.
My OS is Windows XP and have BT Voyager 105 USB ADSL modem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hm.... Is the modem disconnecting on its own or is something from your computer sending a signal to disconnect?

First off, I'd try using a different computer on it (if possible)

Or try getting a replacement modem.

I guess we might be able to help if we had more information.

you said it's a USB modem, so try plugging it into a different computer and see if it works there. If it doesnt then you may need to replace the modem.
