need help for my own website

Hello Friends,

I am a graphic designer. I want to make my own website to show my portfolio but I really dont know any web related software like dreamweaver or html
I tried to make a webpage of my file in FrontPage but didn't get 100% correct result.

You can click here and see what i got. http://jahangir-agha.tripod.com/samplesite.htm

you'll notice few things
1) the page is not like normal webpages, all the page is ONE image
2) the mouse pointer is not changing when you move your mouse onto the text

I tried to solve this problem in frontpage but fail.

All I want from you friends is that plz tell me any simple way that my website should open just like other websites, not like ONE IMAGE of a page and also let me know how can I have the text in such a way that when someone move his mouse over it , it should change its shape.

I hope there must be some way and you ppl must know it

with great hope posting my msg
thanks in advance

If you don't want to have the page look like one image you have to add a layer at a set width and create the page with all the text, pictures and links on that layer. Make the actual page one color and make the layer a second different color. As far as the links you have to go into the link properties and set values for the Mouse-up, Mouse-Over properties that will change the color or make them look like they are being pressed. It all depends on the software you use. Frontpage is good but Dreamweaver is better in my opinion. It's pretty easy to use.

do you change for link
you have to add image mapping to image for the links to work
dreamweaver is a very good program for all ages 6 and up
better to only use images for design not for information
<map name="FPMap0">
<area href="http://www.yahoo.com" shape="rect" coords="44, 208, 152, 232">
<area href="http://www.msn.com" shape="rect" coords="167, 211, 268, 236">
<area href="http://www.google.com" shape="rect" coords="289, 208, 387, 229"></map><img border="0" src="Homepage.JPG" usemap="#FPMap0" width="778" height="700"></p>

this is the only coordinates you have

Hi,
Actually I did all this thing in Frontpage, and I have no idea even 1% about html. I am going to learn all these softwares like "Dreamweaver,Flash,Java,Asp,Html..etc" in a few days, possibly next week.

I thought as I did this in frontpage easily, it would also be easy to do these corrections but now I think I should learn these softwares.

anyways, Thanks to all of you
I will be back with my own website very soon.
