memtest

memtest

Ok ive been told to download memtest and run it, which ive downloaded it but have no idea how to use it!

I have the latest memtest68+

How do i install it and Use it?

Sorry for the newbie question!

First decide if you want to do it via CD or floppy, and download the approprite file (iso for CD, and executable for the floppy).

Then unzip the file to floppy, or burn the ISO to a CD.

Stick it in your computer, and reboot. It should automatically detect the CD/floppy and boot from it (before it goes to windows).

If it doesn't, either:

a) you didn't create the floppy/cd correctly or
b) your cd/floppy drive is not listed in your boot devices in your bios settings.
