hi anyone? i need some help. i have upgraded my win98 os to win xp. i forgot to get the name of my video adapter. i lost my installer cd. so when i successfully installed my winxp os, my video display is only 8 colors.
how will i know my video adapter? i dont know what driver to download because i dont know the name of my device. is there a way? or there is a generic video driver that i can use? im not using my computer for gaming. please help.... its hard to use an 8 color display... thanx in advance.... |

Do you know if it is a seperate video card or onboard video? you could try running SIW to see if it identifies your video card. if not, try a google search for a program called UnknownDevices.exe
