Dell Latitude D610 Bios Help

Hi all,

Im new here and im sorry to say that i have to start of with a big plee for help.

I work for a school in its IT department and i was asked to source a cheap 2nd hand laptop. well i managed to find a good deal on ebay (yes i know) so i bought it off this guy and well i got it on monday and found the bloody bios is locked . I asked the guy for help but he wouldnt reply and has now deleted his account on ebay !!!!! so im stuck with this useless laptop and im probably gonna get strung up by my boss or fired if i dont sort this.

so by now you can see wot im asking for..

does anyone know a way of unlocking this bios with a backdoor password on some keygen..?

sorry to say none of that helped me...

ive stripped the laptop trying to find the chip i need to short but i cant.

does anyone know which chip it is and where its located on the boared..?

If it so cheap, it definitely not without reason
And I want to answer only by E-Mail. I do not like the private messages, because it waste my poor internet account and my own time.

How am i hiding my email..?

i have nothing set to hide in options.

if you look at my profile you can email me through the board.

d610 grey/white screen

hello this is my first post and alos will prove i am a noob!

but i have a d610 latitude laptop and would like to know how to get past the white/grey screen at start up it requires a password that i do not know! :S

please could you help me as this has ruined my christmas?

My friend bought this dell 610 from a yard sale . It has the gray screen of doom as i have recently been seeing it called. he thought that i would be able to clear this for here but in my newly found knowledge of the dell admin password and i it works i am seeking help from rustman, as i see he has the best info can you please help.
