slow computer!

GUYS NEED HELP! am desperate, i don't know the problem with my pc but is slow...

here are the specs:


Intel Pentium(R) 4 2.66 Ghz
ECS P4VMM2 motherboard onboard sound card
Windows XP professional SP2
256 mb RAM
Winfast LEADTEK 128 MB video card

You could use more ram. Are you saying that it's has always been slow (to you) or all the suden it's slow? IMO you need more ram.

definately need more RAM. Before adding read:

248 RAM indicates you have integrated video which steals RAM from system Ram.

If you're playing high end games, you need a high end graphics card as well.
