Copyrighting a business name

I just registered a domain name and need to copyright a business name. I used to know where and how to go about doing this, but I forgot.

Does anyone know where I can do this online?

Why not do it the usual way, try phoning your local government for more details as laws vary from one state to another in the US??

I think I've never mentioned it but TechSpot is a registered trademark, how do you like that? .

Now I will have to assume that although all trademarks are treated the same worldwide, the process to go through it is different in each country, in my case I was helped by a lawyer friend of mine, just paid a fee and he arranged all the paperwork.

I'll have to make a friend out of a lawyer. Maybe I can find a good looking girl lawyer

lol, I was just thinking about Julio's post. The layman's process is the same world-wide: Pay for a lawyer to process the paperwork!

What about the old 3DSpotlight? Is that a registered trademark too?

Not really, just own the domains with that name.
