whats would a AMD 2.0 Ghz with MMX, 3DNOW, SSE, SSE2, X86-64 and 64 bit instructions be equal to in Pentium 4?

Estimates please
regards

If the AMD is an Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.0 GHZ, then an intel equivalent would be a 3.2GHZ Pentium 4.

And yes, if the AMD is an Athlon 64 CPU, is pretty good speed for games.

They're slower than Athlons. If the Sempron says 2800+ for example, then it's competent with a 2.8 GHZ celeron d.

But it would be competent with a 2.2-2.3 GHZ P4 I think.

what if its a sempron series
the sempron is essentially an Athlon64 with a much smaller L2 cache. it can run at it's rated speed, but due to the smaller cache, it cannot access as much data as quickly as an Athlon64.

a sempron is a budget CPU designed for more basic taks. it may run some games fine, but it is not designed for it.

hope this helps

Semprons are like Intel's Celerons. Even though the clock speed might be the same for both, Semprons are much slower than Athlons because they run more instructions per cycle.
