My system performing so much worse!

Right the title is self - explanitory really! but i have fiddeled around with some options on my computer virtual memory, page file size etc. and now my computer is performing so much badly on games!

My counter strike source seems to be fine but on world of warcraft i used to be able to run on most specs high and running smoothly with an Geforce FX5200!

Not the best of gfx cards i know but i am sure i could run on those specs!

Any quick advice?

Gradually undo your fiddlings until things go back to normal?
You did note the original settings before you went to mess around with critical system settings, riight?

Really, if you yourself don't know what you did wrong, then none of us can know it either. Maybe try a system restore or a repair install or just format and start over?

If you increased your page file size, go back and put it back to the default size.

Your RAM is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than your HDD and rightly so.

If you make your page file enourmously large, Windows will write to it more(don't quote me on this, but it does happen to my PC) and that may bog you down.
