Dell PA-6 range of PSU's

Hi All

So now I'm onto the third PSU for my laptop, why ? well both so far have gone in the same place, about 1cm down from the Plug, why ? because I use the laptop on my knee and Dell have decided to put a large rubber bung about 5cm down from the Plug... I have opened this up and found out it contains an Iron ferrite ring.

So as I use the laptop on my knee and the cable hangs down due to the ring, causing the cable to constantly bend in the same place.

I'm getting really sick of this now and have decided to remove the next ferrite ring before using the PSU.

Has anyone else found this ?

Regards
