Are Estonia and Latvia anywhere near Serbia and Croatia? I was pretty sure they're all like former Warsaw Pact client states or something. If they are, you're close to Nodsu.

Don't know and don't care, there's no need to say where you live because it says that under the amount of posts you done.
Am i right?

it does say where you live above your posts count but it depends on what you type in, if anything

i live about 10 miles from oxford, england

in a village that people say has 3 houses haha

there's a pub but no shop or post office or anything

"it does say where you live above your posts count but it depends on what you type in, if anything"...

That's the trouble. Most members don't even provide their basic locations like Europe, England (UK), Africa, Australia or just USA. We should run a campaign to get members to do this basic thing...

I hate it when I tell a member to look at Newegg and they live outside the continental US. If they don't post a location, I always treat them as living in the US

exactly, i don't really know why most new people don't bother to put even a location in their profile, i suppose they don't know how helpful it is to everyone else

same, if there's no location i say look at newegg or ebuyer if you're in the uk, because that covers both bases really but it shouldn't be necessary really, should it

i think reading the "guide to good posts" should be mandatory for new members as well

My home is in a piddling little village in middle england, about 8 miles from Rugby. I support Leicester Tigers RFC. I am old (> 50) and have lived in the same house since March 1977. Boring or what? I run a small business providing IT support for anyone who wants it. This forum is a brilliant source of help and inspiration. Bubo ergo sum is the family motto (I drink therefore I am). Bout time I changed my profile as am now just over 1000 posts.

So you have the most essential facility.

The person who doesn't give his/her location deserves it.

Do all non-'new people' give their location ?
