Hi,
Recently I was trying to put a PCI card into my pc to allow me to connect a SATA hard drive to it. The PC was working fine before I started. I opened the cover, slotted in the card, re connected the power and turned on the power button. However, there wasn't a blip. No lights, no fans turning, no HD swirling - nothing. Now, i tell a slight lie cos when I pushed the power button the 1st time the three indicator light beside the power button flashed for a nano second and then went dead. This didn't happen again. My 1st suspicion was the PSU, but I am suspicious of how the adding of a PCI card could kill it. I am worried maybe I damaged the motherboard. To start, I changed the fuse in the plug and all the cables but no luck. I removed the PCI card and still no luck. Anybody got any suggestions...
