hey just recently started gettin this problem. i played this game on my old setup for a little over a month, a week on my new comp and ive started get this (very small sample, it sometimes goes on for basically forever)-

the numers at the end dont show 100/1 each time, in fact theyve never showed the same numbers twice, ive seen 27/1 and so on. Each one different from the last crash. the screen itself just freezes, sometimes im able to look around but not actually move, ill be allowed to fire a few rounds in my current gun but not change it. i can just hit another server and it will reload and start again, sometimes just enough for a few rounds of play, sometimes no rounds at all crashing before i even choose teams. i tried searching for it but the search would just bring up anything with the words out or order or fragment in the body.

i do have a router (lynksis bf34... version 2), so it could be that, ive also been thinking it may have something to do with that, maybe my video card (his ice3 x1800gto with the latest catalyst driver.) i have not had the chance to reinstall the game, but i will later tonight, i doubt it will do anything tho, i dont see how it could. thanks for any help.

setup is:
core 2 duo 6700
asus p5w dh deluxe
2 gig geil ddr2 800
320 sata 80 ata
dvd burner
no audio card *using the horrible onboard audio for now*

maybe its a network probelm..

try playing a multiplayer game with bots (so you're using your own PC instead of connecting to the net) and see if its still there.. If it is then you'll know its local, so maybe the vid card/drivers or the game itself etc.

after that and its not a local problem then bypass the router and connect the PC to the modem directly to rule out a router problem etc.

general troubleshooting

it works with only bots on, at least while playing it for like 20 minutes or so, it comes down to the connection. i cant remove the router right now, maybe ill do it later.

another error i get that might be related is when i first turn on the computer, i get a "duplicate name already exists on network" or something likewise. clues.

first off i gotta say i dont play source (got cs:cz..) but i'll help you as much as i can..

If it is truely a network problem, [assuming you run a network with 2+ pcs etc] then its either packets sent to the wrong PC or connection troubles..

-Set your PCs to have static IP addresses and change its machine name different to each other..
-if its your router (after you've eliminated from the network) check its settings or try updating its firmware..
-firewalls ok?
-on the offchance, is your internet browsing or other games uneffected?
