Hi all,
I know this will be a lame question but could someone please confirm for me what the NBFAN and SYSFAN headers are for? I expect that SYSFAN is for a system fan but what qualifies as a system fan? I have a Thermaltake Tsunami case, it has two large fans in it (case fans as opposed to system fans?) but I connect these up to the PSU supply rather than to the mainboard. Are the headers just so u can monitor the speed of the fans? Cheers..... |

Nbfan is your north bridge fan which is mounted on top of your north bridge chip set on your mobo and sysfan is a fan that you can add to blow cold air in, usually (but not always) mounted in the front of the case!!!!

the headers are there for 3-pin fans. not only can complaint fan hardware be monitored by the motherboard, but thier speed can be adjusted as needed by the BIOS, as long as the mobo supports it.
