Kingston 512 Megabyte DDR 400 Mhz PC 3200 CL 3

What exactly does CL 3 mean? I see other RAM by the company listed at CL 2.5, etc. Nevertheless, the Intel 875PBLZK I plan on building utilizes 400 Mhz PC 3200 memory so I guess it should be fine regardless of what CL 3 is or does.

Lastly, does ECC memory really make a big differance? I thought I read somewhere that the Northwood already has error correction, so it seems pointless, I guess.

Thanks for the info.

Your motherboard may not be able to take ECC ram. You are most likely looking for unbuffered, non-parity RAM.

Make sure that you know what you are supposed to be getting before you get it.

Also, try for CL2.5 or CL2 RAM. CL3 is slower.
