I'm going to try and get a laptop soon, it'll be used mostly for messing around with audio/recording/editing and the like, so it needs to have a firewire port. I wouldn't mind having an ok-ish graphics card either, however that's not a priority. What is, is that I also need to get a few other things too so my total budget has to be about $1300 (€1020/£680). Can anyone recommend a suitable laptop? All comments appreciated.

I am not a fan of Dell's desktops (for the most part), however I do like their notebook computers, especially for those on a tight budget (like you). Have a look at their site.
