Question On Fan Posistion

Well, first off I bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185038 , and I got it for 35$ 2 Days ago off newegg. Should this be able to reach 333 FSB on a E6300 Wink That is the limit on my motherboard until I get a new one (TForceP965). Here is my little drawing of the inside of my case, which fan posistion/direction should I put the 120mm fan.

iif it doesnt say in the instructions i guess you have a choice on which side you want of course if you want the hot air to move stright out of the case you would want the fan placed on the green side so the hot air wont linger in the case.

Brown Arrow or your Bottom Green Arrow.

Brown is good because its blowing air across the heatsink (always preferred over sucking air through), potential downside is you might not have good airflow to the fan because of drive ribbons and power lines.

Bottom Green Arrow because again its blowing across the heatsink and also good if your PSU has an intake fan at the bottom of it, potential downside is its air source is directly above the video card, so you may be blowing warmer air through the fan (and across the heatsink) than you would if you used the brown arrow.

does your case have an exhaust fan in the back, under the PSU (behind the "pink area" of your drawing)?

if yes, then it would be best to mount your fan in the "green area" blowing into the heatsink. this way the case's rear exhaust fan will suck out most of the heat from the CPU.

if no, then as SNGX suggested have it blow into the heatsink from the bottom so that the PSU fans will suck the heat out. (generally you want to avoid sucking heat into a PSU because that will reduce it's power output, but if your case doesn't have a rear exhaust then you don't have much choice)

cheers
