Need to backup movies…. What program is best?

Need to backup movies…. What program is best?

I have little kids and they scratch thier movies up so they don’t work. I’d like to back them up so I don’t have to buy them again… what program (s) or combination works best.

I have Nero 7 Ultra

And NFM utilities from NLite install.

DVDFab Decrypter,
AVISynth (version 2.5x or higher)
MPEG2DEC3 Plugin for AVISynth (MPEG2DEC3.DLL)
VirtualDub (version 1.5.10 or higher)
XviD Video Codec (find it in the TOOLS section)
DVD shrink
DGMGPDEC
DVDdubedit
PGCedit
Quenc
VitualDub (64)
VobBlanker
Yamb
Xvid
FFD

I don’t care how big the files are thanks

Backing up your DVD is Illegal.

Use rubbing alcohol and a static free cloth to buff the dvds, this works when the scratches are not deep.

Not necessarily, it depends on the local laws.

I find DVDShrink the best Windows application for this, but I haven't made any backups of DVDs in over a year, so I don't know if other applications have improved.

I find CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD to be the best combo for easy trouble free back ups.

I use DVDShrink and I know there are others for diff type's of copy protect issues.
in my state it is legal to make a copy for personnel use.
if you keep them the original size you will need a big drive
I would suggest burn them and put them away
use nero or ulead to burn

good luck

right now in Canada, it's not illegal to burn dvd's or cds. They are trying to make it illegal but they will fail
