Adobe reader not responding

Hi,
I can't for the life of me get Adobe reader to work on my computer. All of a sudden it quick working and gave me an error message that "dll" was missing.
I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it does absolutely nothing. I need to view some documents sent to me, but can't get it to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

uninstall it. Run ccleaner, choose the applications and issues options and re-install

You may also want to consider Foxit, an Adobe Reader alternative.
