It doesnt matter how old you are, It just depends if you know what you're doing

If you want to really save money and be able to play any game ( Yes, even oblivion and FEAR )

Look at this guide:
http://www.techspot.com/article/25-a...gaming-system/

You're ending price would be in $600-700 depending if you want to change any of the stuff ( videocard for sure because it only links a 6800 and I would upgrade to the 7 series like the 7800-7900 for only about $100 more )

Hope I helped

Also that RAM / mobo wouldnt work together because if you look at the Specs on both you'll see that the mobo only takes DDR2 667 and the RAM is DDR2 800 which would eqaul = :hotbounce

If you want to save up a few more dollars ( $200-300 ) you can get my build which would run any game... even the most demanding of games at full / ultra with high resolution.

Its one way of making money thats for sure.... Id do something like that myself but I dont have the patience, then there is the fact that I know nothing about water cooling, or overclocking etc etc

Yeah, I dont want to sell a water cooled PC because if someone breaks it when they are running their comp and water drips... Not my fault so they cant sue me

If you want to save several $$$$$$, take a look at this mobo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128017

I'm gonna buy it, and it appear to be an amazing overclocker, and pretty cheap

Ah ok... it's because some people going to this website were saying that because they are like 13 or 14 that they couldnt build a computer because they are I guess.. ADD

Maybe they were trying to use 2.0 volt memory with it. Also, previous BIOS revisions were junk. The newest F6 BIOS corrects most problems.

Also, there will be always ****** that post crap reviews

Thats so true wolfram, its mainly the ****** who post crap reviews.... Its more likely for every negative customer review there are more customers satisfied..... except for Alienware.... The sheer volume of horror stories cant be countered! lol

I mean from what I can tell with Alienware is the machines are ace.... its the mind bogglingly abismal customer service that seems to be the main issue but still as you say they are plastered all over the majority of computer magazines which makes me wonder if there is any hope for them at all?

I really wanted to buy an Alienware system, apart from the new ALX chassis looking like the dogs doodahs, there so called reputation as being the best in the business drew me to there website as a first port of call, The fact that there premium system doesnt have 8800's as an option let alone in SLI is disheartening aswell..... then comes the affore mentioned endless negative reviews......

Yeah but still... A person who has knowledge of how to operate a computer / build one, overclock or watercool could make the same kind of computer as a VooDoo, I saw a Omen computer from Voodoo for $13,000 and they were actualy pretty good builds with Custome cases that are very well detailed and have SLi 8800s with watercooled GPUs and have like 4-5 fans for additional cooling with a 1000w PSU

But still, That's way too exspensive for a computer
