Device Driver Error Assistance.

Hello all.
For the past month or so my computer has been crashing on a consistent basis and when it reboots and I have sent the error report I am greeted with this:

Error caused by a device driver

Thank you for sending an error report to Microsoft.

Error report summary

Error type: Windows stop error (A message appears on a blue screen with error code information)

Solution available? : No (see Next steps)

What does this error mean?: Windows has encountered an error from which it cannot recover and needs to restart

Cause: Unknown device driver

Computer symptoms: A message appears on a blue screen with error code information (for example: e.g. 0x0000001E, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED)

Additional steps for you to take :Important: Please continue to send error reports so analysts at Microsoft can study and try to correct the problem as quickly as possible

Information about this error

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.

Next steps

We have analyzed your error report and at this time are unable to determine the exact cause of the error. However, Microsoft will continue to analyze this error report to try to determine the specific cause of the error. If we are able to find the cause and correct it, and you encounter the same problem, you will receive an updated response that includes instructions for resolving the problem.

The first time my computer crashed I was watching a video on UTube. For awhile it only happened when doing this, however it later would restart more often and seemingly randomly, for example, it would restart while doing things like: Virus scans, surfing the internet, listening to music, watching movies, burning a CD/DVD, using photoshop, basically it would just crash during regular use. My computer is running incredibly slow now and I'm constantly getting weird error messages and this odd black screen upon start up.
I'm only mildly computer literate, I don't even know how to figure out what my system specs are, so I'm hoping someone here could help me out.
It would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Your problem sounds like 1 of 4 things!!!!

1 - Failing ram, google and get memtest and run it for at least 7 passes!!

2 - A failing hard drive, get speedfan from the downloads section and use it to check out the S.M.A.R.T. characteristics of it!!

3 - A failing psu, we will need to know its make and wattage!!

4 - Spyware often causes what you describe, read this http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic50981.html and paste your HJT log as an ATTACHMENT in the Security and the Web forum!!

Hope that lot helps!!!!

Go to My Computer> C:\Windows\Minidump and upload 5 of your most recent ones

Download SpeedFan[/URL, post the results while your PC is doing nothing, and again when it is doing something intensive (game, virus scan etc). Temps and voltages please.

Have a read of this: Tutorial: How to use Memtest
