hi community my name is large610, i have a dell 4600i desktop pc. my question is do i need to change anythink or buy anything else when i install aIntel Core 2 Duo desktop processor. thank you

I would be very surprised if that pc supports a core 2 duo!!!!

Yeah I dont think it can, I couldnt find out since support.dell.com only has info for the 4600 and 4600c not the 4600i but I'm guessing its a P4 and if so then no you cant but I need to specs to tell for sure

I couldn't find his mobo specs (only its connectors, very useful especially when they tell you the CPU socket is a "CPU socket" without telling you the type).... but after looking at the type of ram, it's only DDR1. AFAIK, C2D + DDR1 = no no.
