Ghost a Raid(1) drive...
I am trying to Ghost an image of my Windows 2003 server. I have 2 40GB drives that are mirrored using Raid 1. I am using Norton Ghost Ver 9. I tried pulling the drive and putting it in another system, but it didn't recognize it. I guess because of the Raid. I tried booting with the disk on the system, but it didn't see the usb device I was going to copy it to, nor could I find a way to make an image of the working drive. I may just be pressing the wrong buttons or going about this the wrong way as I am not that familiar with Ghost 9. I do wish to use this method if I can though. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Is that real hardware RAID or fakeraid?
Ghost 9 is a rather crippled program. You may want to try a simple CD Linux or a specialised program like g4u or udpcast to clone the thing. |

I guess its fake? two IDE drives, no SCSI. If I remove the mirror in Disk Manager , can I then Ghost the drive?

Oh! You set up RAID inside Windows using the Windows software RAID feature? Ugly.. And tricky. And I don't have any experience with that, sorry
