Need online store besides newegg

I have looked quite a bit but can't find anybody with prices that compete with new egg only bummer is I live in California so I have to pay tax on there site. So next best that I have found is tiger direct. Any suggestions on other online stores.

Thanks Dominic

Depending on what type of computer parts you need, you may be able to get some stuff from xoxide.com, they're in PA.

Also, check out directron.com, they're in TX.

I live in California too but I still buy mostly from Newegg. However, I have bought a few things from Directron.com too.

in my personal experience... Newegg cannot be beat or even matched by any other online retailer.

IMHO, it's worth paying the CA state sales tax for the service and discounts you get. many items on Newegg offer free (or very cheap) shipping, which alone may outway the tax cost. and the super-fast order processing cannot be beat (which to me is well worth paying the tax on it).

you could buy from another site (which may get you out of paying the CA sales tax), but you will likely wait much longer to receive your item

I am finding what you guys have said is so true. I have found on a lot of stuff even with sales tax they are hard to beat. And thanks for the links.

We have no State sales tax in Montana, and Newegg can get stuff up here easily. I have had Fedex 3-day shipping come to me in 1 day before. I don't like Tiger Direct, but Directron has been great too

ZipZoomFly

You could also try tigerdirect.com I know 100% that they are in the Chicago area they are not as cheap as newegg, but it still would be alot cheaper than sales tax I would imagine. Especially on a $1000 order LoL

And for everyone else, give www.zipzoomfly.com a chance, I have never ordered from them but they have very competative pricing with newegg on most stuff. They also offer free shipping on a ton of items on their site which usually does make it just as cheap, cheaper than newegg

The good thing about their shipping to is (and I wish newegg would do this) that if a item is free ground shipping but you want 2nd day or next day air service you only pay the difference. So if a item is $8 to ship, but is free shipping and you want 2nd day air wich usually costs $18 you only pay $10

Newegg on the other hand tells ya that if you dont want the free 3 day (well 5 day since they switched to UPS HEHE ) then thats too bad you have to pay the full for 2nd or next day wich sucks.

Yeah JimShady23,
UPS is cheaper than Fedex now with Newegg, and the guaranteed 3-day UPS takes up to 5 days here in Montana. Nice guarantee huh
