Hi, I just updated my friends computers mobo, cpu and gpu and it started randomely restarting and getting bsod during games. I reinstalled windows and all the drivers and im still having the problem

Specs-

C2d e6600
p5wdh deluxe mobo
2 gigs ddr2
2 hd's in raid 0
8800gts
and a 450w psu

I checked for overheating, and the video card is running warm (60) C, it is common for the 8800 to run hot. The cpu is fine at 42. I'm thinking power supply? Im not sure what brand it is or efficiency but its stock on his alien ware alx so im guessing its pretty good. Now that i think about it im pretty sure its an enermax, so its prob 70-80% efficiency. Any help would be great.

Yeah, it sounds like it would be a PSU since it happens during games when the GPU is drawing lots more power. You may want to run Memtest86 to check the RAM too. I've had 480W Antec PSUs die after a year or less and switched over to Enermax.

It could definately be the PSU, especially if your using an 8800, not sure if 450W is enough.

Thanks. I reseated the memory and he said he it has been working fine. I will run memtest. I will also look into the psu. Thanks for your help.
