NTL broadband

ive had ntl for a few years with a set top box, now gone over to cable modem, i had to use my pc as the server on my home network, can i just hookup my router to the cable modem somehow? so any pc can access the net, its seems to need a registared pc to logon!

Who is your ISP? Is it DHCP or does it require a user name and password to access the net?

Hi,

Have had similar problem? with my cable broadband, all it turned out was to leave the cable modem switched off for about 4mins so as it forgets what was last plugged into it and accepts the new hardware, no configuring or anything, straight on and away, hope this works for you.

it requires login details to start but i can get online with a live linux cd!
