Im sort of a noob at drivers so if u can help me, please put into simple terms plz lol. for now i have the radeon 9200 video card but i just brought battlefield 2142 and it says i need a higher video card. i went on ati site and got the newest one but it wont install, even if i do the step by step instructions, it says the stupid VGA thing everyone else gets, can you help me, and remember write as simple as possible, thankyou!!!!!

So you have the Radeon 9200, and it says you need a better video card? Or that you need to update the driver for the Radeon 9200, and when you follow the instructions and the driver you downloaded will not install?

i have the radeon 9200 and on the game it requires one of these:
ATI

Driver tested: Catalyst v6.8 Windows XP

Radeon 9500/9700 series
Radeon 9550 series
Radeon 9600 series
Radeon 9800 series
Radeon X300 series
Radeon X600 series
Radeon X700 series
Radeon X800 series
Radeon X850 series
Radeon X1300 series
Radeon X1600 series
Radeon X1800 series
Radeon X1900 series

but i cant go any higher than the radeon 9250, when i try and install one of the listed it first says:

setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. setup will now exit.

and then it says:

setup was unable to complete the installation. try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup

what should i do?
