i have dominion wars and this star trek armada 2 demo and neither of them work..and it always say it has something to do with display and driver accelerators, i dunno.
the armada one says no compatible direct3d8 hardware accelerator detected.
the dominion wars one says something like no compatible drivers for display device i think. so i'm assuming its the same problem with both of them? i had to wipe the thing not long ago so missing driver or something?
but yeh i'm about to beat up my computer.

You might want to download the latest version of Direct X which came out the first part of February... available at www.microsoft.com.
Otherwise, I would remove and reinstall your video graphics drivers... or go back to the next version if you are using the latest now.

What you describe is not a directx error but is a driver error.

Click [B]start button [/B]then [B]run[/B] and type [B]dxdiag[/B]
Click on the [B]display tab[/B], if anything there says [B]Microsoft Corporation [/B]then you do not have a graphics driver installed.

Without knowing [B]what your pc is [/B]there is no way that we can advise you on what driver you need.
