Ok i noticed it at work and thought it was just our wireless router there, but my laptop couldnt detect any wifi connections, i was going to check the router but put it off since i'm the only one who uses it. but now am home and am having the same issue, it wont detect any networks, i reset my router, and made sure it was configured properly. it is as far as i can tell. when i click to change the button to change the order of prefered networks it took me to authentication tab of the properties. i ran the network setup wizard again, and now it doesnt even have the authentication tab... i dont know what else to check.. oh, and i also checked the bios to see if it had any wifi settings there. it doesnt seem to.

If your lappy has a switch to turn on and off the wifi check that. If not, Are you running service pack 2 or 1?

i had checked the switch.. but eh.. got tired of trying to fix it and just ran the restore disk
