Doesn't make much sense..
You sent your computer to a repair shop and they replaced the hard drive. Now you are worried that someone may be able to read your files on the broken hard drive? This is certainly possible, depending on what was wrong with the drive and how much someone is willing to invest in getting access to your data. |

reply about hdd
im nit worried about other having acces 2 it, i need my files as their is important work files on there. i am willing to spend about up 2 £100.
the problem how it started was when my laptop fan was damaged. i sent it to repair and they said the hdd also needed replacing. i now want the old hdd files. i sent the hdd to a small It Company and was not able to recover the data, they said that a pin was damaged. is it still possible to recove data thanks for reply 2 ealier thread i respectyfully you can again thank you |

I doubt it
If a Pro can't then i doubt anyone can.but
Connect it as a slave and see if a drive letter appears for it. Then see if you can open it. No letter,no drive to work on.You waited to long to save your data |

A missing pin is not a problem for a real data recovery company. You should be prepared to spend some £1000 though.
