External Display Issues with Satellite 1415-S173
Hi, I reinstalled windows xp home (i lost the recovery cd that came with the laptop so i used a standard XP install disc) on my Toshiba Satellite 1415-S173 a few months ago and when i tried to do a presentation today on a projector i could no longer use the the function keys to access the display menu that used to pop up. As i got no response from the CRT output i tried S video and still i got nothing. I heard there is a process you need to use to get these function keys working again after a fresh reinstall, can anyone help me?

You need to install special software from Toshiba to get the function keys working.
I suggest you go to the downloads website of your laptop model and download/install all the drivers and any interesting software you see there.
