media test failure

I keep getting a media test failure on my averatec laptop, Ive tried to get into the bios and it prompts me to press del to enter set up but when i press delete it just move on the the media test failure screen, Are there any alternate ways to get into the bios so i can change the boot option or do I need to throw this thing out the window?
