Security problem

If opened an suspicious file yester day, and now my pc is acting strange. i keep hearing the refreshing sound every 30 secs, popups opening and closing in less than a sec, microsoft phishing filter messages. Something is not right.

Could somebody have a look pls?

You`ve managed to infect your system with a backdoor trojan. never open anything you`re not sure about, particularly if you think it looks suspicious.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

A reformat should`ve got rid of any nasties you had.

If you`re not sure, please post a fresh HJT log.
