BSOD: 0x00000008e, 0xc00000005 (and others)

Hello,

I have browsed the forum and tried some of the suggestions posted here and in other knowledge bases.

I'm having an issue with one system at work, MSI-6728, P4 2.8GHz with 512MB RAM. I recently ran MemTest86+ with no errors. I have also updated the graphics card drivers (Gigabyte RADEON 9200SE) as well as removed Norton 2005 and replaced it with AVG Free.

Unfortunately I have full dumps so I have to attach a zip file and a separate dmp file. These dumps were all prior to changing the anti-virus. I just received a call from the office to say that a BSOD came up with 0x0000008e (0xc00000005, 0xbf9f2a73, 0xed1ed0c, 0x0) ati2dvag.d.

Please help me analyze the dumps and provide some suggestions. Thanks in advance!

All your minidumps point to one thing: ati2dvag.dll I've had the same problem but with my Radeon X800 GTO! [And, believe it or not, I have in my old Pentium 3 system, that is still rock solid and running stable, a Radeon 9200 card]

It is an ATI graphics issue and if you Google it there is a lot of info on this issue.

I'm assuming that the sam_ati2dvag.dll is a Samsung MagicRotation Driver. You can find a similar problem with the equivalent nVidia driver (sam_nv4_disp.dll) HERE. As you can see from post #7 uninstalling the software fixed the problem.
